1) Membership shall be open to all Hindus residing in Malaysia and to legally constituted Hindu Temples and Religious Institutions that subscribe to the aims and objects of the Thirukkoottam, provided that University or University College students shall not be admitted without the prior approval of the Vice Chancellor concerned.

(a) Annual subscription payable in advance shall be :�

• RM15.00 for Ordinary Members
• RM30.00 for Temples and Institutions
• Providing that any ordinary member joining after the first quarter of the year shall pay a monthly subscription of RM 1.50 for the first year.�

(b) Subscription for Life membership shall be RM250.00�

(c) Members who donate any sum not less than RM1,000.00 for any cause undertaken by the Thirukkoottam shall be elected as Donor Members for life and shall enjoy all the rights and privileges of the Thirukkoottam.�

(d) Members who are in arrears of subscription for more than a year shall not be eligible for voting on any matter affecting the Thirukkoottam.�

(e) A member may cease his membership of the Thirukkoottam by resigning or on death or insanity.�

(f) If a member acts detrimentally to the aims and objects of the Thirukkoottam, he may be expelled by the Council of Management but he may appeal in writing to the next General Meeting not later than one month before the date of the meeting.�
